About Facade renovation and jointing company Douwenga
Johannes and Durkje Douwenga start Facade renovation and jointing company Douwenga on 14 December 2005 in Zweins, a small terp village in Friesland. In 2008, our company had grown so much that other business premises were needed and we had a new business premises built in Franeker. The team now consists of around 40 people and we can certainly speak of a family business, because son Sake is now also a partner in the company in addition to his parents.

On the instructions of Construction company Kolthof BV We were proud to carry out the facade renovation of the De Ploeg Arts Center project in Wehe-den Hoorn.
Our work included:
✔️ Masonry repair
✔️ Tear repair
✔️ Creating a new expansion joint
We also addressed the rising damp in the building to protect the facade for years to come.
The icing on the cake was the festive opening of the building by none other than King Willem-Alexander! 👑🎉

🚧 Which roads are closed?
The Kiewest industrial estate and the N384 between Franeker (Harlingerweg roundabout) and Kiesterzijl are closed.
🔧 Who's working on it?
TenneT is currently supporting the pylons and safely removing the high-voltage cables. Once this is completed, the road and the Kiewest industrial estate will be reopened.
⏰ How long does this take?
The area will reopen once the masts are stable. We expect this to happen later today.
🗺️ Where can I see the road closures?
The map with this message shows exactly which roads and areas are closed.
