Johannes and Durkje Douwenga start Facade renovation and jointing company Douwenga on 14 December 2005 in Zweins, a small terp village in Friesland. In 2008, our company had grown so much that other business premises were needed and we had a new business premises built in Franeker. The team now consists of around 40 people and we can certainly speak of a family business, because son Sake is now also a partner in the company in addition to his parents.
